You can't imagine the storage space we have, especially if you live in a crowded city, but we have a garage that's over 2000 square feet attached to a house that's only 1800 square feet. Yes, the garage is bigger than the house. We didn't build it that way, we bought it already done. You can imagine it was a dream come true for my husband who now had room to store 7 cars in his garage with room to spare.
We currently have 2 cars, a truck, a boat and a 4 wheeler being stored, but also plenty of room for storage and a workshop. The problem is we have managed to stuff that 2000 sq feet to the brim and desperately need to clean and reorganize everything. That led us to start looking at the variety of garage storage options available. And there are a lot.
The storage industry is massive, from closets to workshops, garages to basements, there's a do it yourself or professional system available for everyone. Plastic, metal, free standing or hanging, you need only to layout your dream plan and get started. The biggest hurdle can be the price because many of these systems are not cheap. The best news is that you can often design your layout and then buy one or two pieces at a time as you have the money for it. That's what we'll probably do.
